With the increased demand from internationally qualified coating inspectors to obtain the well-respected ICorr inspection certificate, Corrodere have developed an online transition programme. This is an easy and affordable way to obtain an ICorr inspection certificate without having to attend the full training course and a one day assessment.

    Transition process

  • 1. Complete and submit the application form (selecting the ICorr inspection certificate you require) including supporting current inspection certificates, CV, photo identification and passport photos.
  • 2. A welcome letter will be sent by Corrodere with full study instructions.
  • 3. Student to access the appropriate online inspection transition course by creating their own personal account.
  • 4. One month’s access to the online Corrodere coating inspection training programme provided for revision purposes.
  • 5. Commence the timed online multiple choice assessment.
  • 6. Automated results will be sent to the Corrodere administration team.
  • 7. On Successful completion Certificate and ID card issued by ICorr.
  • Practical experience required:
    ICorr Level 1: 12 months of practical coating inspection experience.
    ICorr Level 2: 24 months of practical coating inspection experience.
    Where no practical experience is evident it is recommended students attend the one day practical workshop and ICorr practical assessment.
  • Online Assessments:
    Multi choice questions are randomly selected from the Train the inspector training site:
    ICorr Level 1: 100 questions to be completed in 1 hour
    ICorr Level 2: 150 questions to be completed in 1 hour 30 mins.
    The online assessment must be completed within 3 months from enrolment.
  • Pass rate Minimum 70%
  • Retake process One free retake. Students have the option to re sit the same level assessment or choose the lower level if appropriate.
  • Recognised inspection certificates for transition:
  • Certification: All examination candidates will be issued either with a standard Certificate of Achievement and Wallet Card or a Failure Notice by the ICorr Test Centre, normally within 21 days of completion of examination, providing that all examination fees have been paid or credit terms have been agreed. The period of validity of the certification is five years from the date of successful completion of an examination.
  • Recertification: Apply for recertification after five years, submit an up-todate CV and complete an online refresher course for a new 5 year card to be issued.
  • Payment: Payment of course fees are required upon application.
    Fees are refunded in full should an application be declined, or the student cancels the course within 14 days of registering.
  • Course Fees: Fees include 1 month access to our comprehensive online training programme, a free re-sit and ICorr Certification and ID card
